Art Inspired Events

Bloomster's is once again excited to be participating in the Art Inspired Event this year.

"Art Inspired Events" is a special evening event in collaboration with the San Jose Museum of Art and the Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE). The evening's decor will be inspired by the exhibition of Frank Lobdell: Wonderland on exhibit March 10th – August 5th, 2012 at the San Jose Museum of Art.

Guests will sample tasty morsels from our premiere caterers, see design inspirations from our event sponsors, view outstanding works of art throughout the Museum including Frank Lobdell's 2.22.93–4.8.93 Bleeker, 1993 which is just one of the several pieces of art that inspired the evening's decor.

In the Wendel Center, guests will have the opportunity to meet and learn from Natti Pierce-Thomson, the evening's event designer, as she transforms the Wendel Center's room decor by "painting" with light. Ever wonder what a "gobo" is? Can uplights really make a difference? This is your chance to ask the expert and find out for yourself.

"Art Inspired Events" is an award winning experience, you don't want to miss!

Bret Harte Middle School Silent Auction 2011

On May 11, 2011 Brete Harte Middle School held its annual silent auction event to raise funds to support their sister school, The Doris Dillon School in Cambodia. The Doris Dillon School is a schoole serving over 200 7th-9th grade students from four remote villages in Cambodia. The Doris Dillon School project is run through American Assistance for Cambodia, which has already built over 400 such schools through the Rural Schools Project.

You can read more about this story of inspiration in the San Jose Mercury News.
